☆ DESIGNING FOR KANYE WEST It's not everyday that you get the opportunity of working with an A-lister like Kanye West and when you do its a great chance to show the world what you got! Or in this case, what you can design. When asked how this venture began Remy told Ar1as Ent. that, "This happened a year ago, August 31 of 2008 to be exact. I know a friend of mine who works with Kanye. So he told me that today hes going to meet him at Record Planet in Hollywood, CA."
Remy didnt miss this opportunity and headed toward Hollywood with some of his best work so that Kanye could take a closer look. "Kanye was busy recording and didnt have time to come out nor did he let anyone in," says Remy Hou. At the time Tpain was also in the studio along with his artist Sophia Fresh. "I believe they both just released a new hit which might be the one they were recording while i was there." After a couple of minutes Remy's friend came out of the studio and said, "Give me the jackets, I'll show it to Kanye." He took one of Remy's custom jet-black leather jackets.
The friend returned and told Remy,"He loves it but he wants a smaller size,you got one?" Luckily there was a smaller size jacket in blue color which Kanye checked out and liked, except for the color. It is at this point that the collaboration is made and Remy gets the offer to design a jacket for Kanye West. As you finish reading Remy is on a mission purchasing the materials for his product and finishing up any needed designs and ideas.
The jacket will be inspired by Kanye's line of Nike Air Yeezy shoes.
As for the completed jacket, it will be delivered to Kanye at one of the BET 2009 AWARDS after party's.
